Garrison Body has several calculators that will help you determine your condition, monitor your changes, help you burn fat, and provide insight into your eating habits.
Proprietary Calorie Calculator
(designed and assembled by Garrison Body)
The Garrison Body Calorie Counter is different in that it is specific to "you". Not just someone who does the same exercises. But...specifically, you. The first thing you enter is your weight, Then you select the various activities you had during 1 24-hour day. The end result is, you will see how many Calories you burned for that day, how many Calories you ate (which you need to measure in order to KNOW), and the results will tell you how much you are over, under or if you ate just the right number of Calories for that day.
Maximum Heart Rate Calculator
You need to know your heart rate during exercise, resting, or minor activities so that you can know what you do that increases your heart rate more than 65%.
BMI Calculator
This type of calculator is perhaps the least accurate of any type of body fat measurements. It only measures dimensions of body parts. That means, if you have a lot of muscle because you've built muscle in the gym, the BMI calculator will provide completely inaccurate results because it does not take into account the fact that muscle may be most of the dimensions.
Body Fat Charts
Take a look through the charts to see where "healthy" is for your age.
Activity Charts
You can review these charts to see how many Calories the various activities burn.

Garrison Body Proprietary Calorie Calculator
First, enter your weight in the first field.
Second, select 1 activity, then input the time "IN MINUTES" only. If you need to calculate the time, use the "Convert Hours" just below the area where you select activities. Enter the number of hours then click "Calculate" to see the number of minutes. If you need to calculate a portion of the time, enter the hours in the "Hours" in the first box and minutes in the second box, then click the "Calculate" button just below the 2 boxes and your "Total Minutes" will appear. Enter that number in the "Time" field to the right of the activity you selected.
Repeat step 2 for as many activities are you need in order to get a total time of 24 hours - one day. As you enter more time you will see "Total Hours of Activity" change. Once that number reaches 24, stop.
Below the "Total Hours of Activity" you will see the number of Calories you have burned.
Third, enter the number of Calories you ate during that same 24 hour period. So before you being, you need to get a very close total of what you ate during that 24 hours. I suggest you read all of this, prepare by writing down what you ate and how many Calories for each item you ate. Then return here with your information documented so you simply read from your notes to add things to the calculator.
What makes "our" calculator different?
- calculations by weight
- adds the total time in hours and minutes for the activities you select
- simple to use
- provides a calculator to convert hours into minutes
- tallies the total Calories you burned for one day
- compares the total Calories you burned with the Calories you needed for the activities you input
- displays the number of Calories you are "over" or "under" for the number of Calories you burned
- easy to read how many Calories you needed to eat or burn if you are over or under
With all of that information you will know how many Calories you "should" eat daily, and whether you need more activity or more food. No other calculator provides all that information.
Why is that information necessary?
If you do not know how many Calories "your" body burns daily, then you don't know how many Calories you should be eating daily. You must know both in order to get "any" results! Combine the calculator with a good, quality scale (one that does not have other calculators built-in such as BMI, which is the worst method to calculate your weight), and you will be able to track your progress daily.
I know - I use this calculator myself along with a good scale, and I check my weight first thing in the morning before eating anything and after expelling digested foods from the day prior.
